IN A NUTSHELL

Editor, writer, project manager, recipe and product tester, and more. I’ve covered food, the restaurant industry (operations, technology, etc.), drinks, travel, and other lifestyle content for print and online publications for 20 years. West Coast-based, I've done it all: SEO research and optimization, compelling interviews, ace reporting, video and TV work, radio, and anonymous (and not-so-anonymous) critiques. 

I've helped launch new digital products, including the first iteration of Eater for Los Angeles, and I was the editor and food columnist for city-specific outlets (Zagat digital, Angeleno magazine). Currently a digital editor for Taste of Home, you'll see past work in a slew of national, local, and regional publications (USA TODAY's 10BEST, Resy, Food Fanatics, The Hollywood ReporterLos Angeles magazine, LA Weekly, Eater National, The Seattle Times, LAist, among others).

There's been some TV and lots of radio, and I even had a video series at one point. I'll go anywhere for a good story — Iceland, Bordeaux, Germany, Tokyo, and San Sebastián are just a few favorites — and thrill in making discoveries at home. My work tends to spotlight both the famous and the unsung, and I take some great photos, too. Drawing on that editorial experience, I've also helped brands and products in the hospitality and lifestyle sectors (beauty, cannabis, travel) build strong content strategies. This includes but is not limited to: creating and implementing editorial calendars and guidelines; managing freelance writers, scheduling, and copy; and telling stories through smart, compelling, and clear copywriting. Feel free to reach out for more info.
