During its nine decades, Eastside Deli has endured it all: the Depression, changing demographics, the ebb and flow of development, Dodgers wins, Dodgers losses, recessions, politics and evolving palates. Through it all, it remains one of the last bastions of what was once Los Angeles's Little Italy, a community of Italian immigrants who settled in what is now Victor Heights, Lincoln Heights, Elysian Park and Chinatown.
